There is a particular kind of courage that comes with stepping in front of a camera and saying, I want the world to see me at my best. For Heather Gorr — a licensed professional counselor, trauma specialist, and the heart behind Agapé Counseling Solutions — that courage was long overdue. And the moment she finally gave herself permission to show up fully? It was nothing short of beautiful.

The Session

We shot at one of my absolute favorite locations in Austin — Hill Country Home ATX, a breathtaking 3,500 square foot home nestled in the hills of Westlake. Hosted by the incredibly warm and welcoming Cindy, the space is flooded with natural light, lined with floor-to-ceiling windows, and opens onto a sweeping deck with panoramic hill country views. Between the mid-century modern decor, the lush wooded surroundings, and the variety of backdrops throughout the home, it offers something magical around every corner — and it matched Heather's energy perfectly.

The 2-hour session was designed to feel unhurried and intentional, with time for natural conversation, outfit changes, and the quiet moments in between where the real magic tends to happen.

Heather came in with an open heart and a readiness to lean into the process. What unfolded was a session full of laughter, genuine moments, and an ease that translated beautifully through the lens. She shined — and I mean that quite literally. Every single frame had something worth keeping.

Who Heather Is

Heather Gorr is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (LPC-S) and trauma specialist serving clients virtually across Texas and Pennsylvania. Through Agapé Counseling Solutions, she offers a holistic, compassionate approach that blends evidence-based methods — including EMDR and CBT — with deep personal care. She works with clients navigating anxiety, trauma, depression, life transitions, and more, and offers faith-integrated counseling for those who desire it.
